No American should have to live under the oppression of a sprawling oversized central government;
or suffer the loss of personal autonomy and liberties to perfunctory bureaucrats;
or endure the invasion of privacy by officious functionaries; or struggle through a life trying to stay ahead of inflation;
or endure the nightmare of over regulation and criminalization; or tolerate mass corruption and fraud by self serving elected officials;
or to grind out a living only to be ravaged by labor-wage taxes while Federal Reserve Bankers get rich off baseless currency;
or die fighting in some needless war.
Why The Andrew Jackson Society?
Andrew Jackson opposed the national bank and abolished it because:
- it is unconstitutional;
- it concentrated an excessive amount of the nation's financial strength into a single institution;
- it exposed the government to control by "foreign interests";
- it exercised too much control over members of Congress;
- it favors Northeastern states over Southern and Western states.
Andrew Jackson knew that a Central bank improved the fortunes of an "elite circle" of commercial and industrial bankers at the expense of hard working Americans. He was proven right, when during his administration, the U.S. Government was, for the first, and so far the only time, debt free.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to foster the pursuit of liberty through limited government and greater personal autonomy, responsibility and accountability. We believe that the reinstitution of a constitutional monetary system will invigorate America 's desire for a republic in which to live the "promise of freedom" enshrined in our Constitution.
Our Plan
To accomplish our mission we have developed a three-stage plan, as outlined below:
1) Install a Constitutional Economic System
- Expose Central Banking for what it is;
- Expose Tax Laws accurately for what they are;
- Rein in our mammoth central government and return it to its constitutional validity;
- Expose and remove elected officials who don't follow the Constitution and back those who do;
- Return appropriate constitutional authority back to the individual states;
- Revive the 10th Amendment to its rightful authority;
- Revive the autonomy of Grand Juries and Trial Juries.
2) Ensure Open Government
- Freedom of Information Act reform campaign;
- Regular open session meetings between Congress and citizen groups to review its constitutional legislative responsibilities and limitations.
3) Education
AJS is developing programs which inform, educate and promote citizen responsibilities to protect:
- the integrity of the Constitution;
- the judicial system when serving as jurors;
- the right to exercise personal responsibility, autonomy and independence for oneself and family;
- citizens' wealth with constitutional money;
- the fixed unit value of the dollar to the constitutional standard of 371 ¼ grains of fine silver.
